Diamond Standard Suspends Russian Diamond Purchases

Diamond Standard stands with the United States and supports the economic sanctions that have been imposed on Russia in hopes of bringing the conflict to a swift end.

We have suspended all diamond purchases from Alrosa and other Russian vendors, effective March 11, 2022 after President Joe Biden issued an executive order blocking U.S. imports of key Russian products, and banning exports of high-end goods. The action bans imports from key sectors of Russia’s economy, such as seafood, alcohol, and non-industrial diamonds.
